My story
Why I coach men
A short version of how I got here — and what I stand for as a coach.
I’ve been overcoming challenges from an early age — mainly a chronic illness through my most formative years, from ages 11 to 21. That time taught me active listening, problem-solving, and being comfortable with silence. All three turned out to be vital skills needed to be a coach.
Growing up as the middle of three brothers, I’ve always been aware of the specific challenges facing men — particularly in the 21st century. That was confirmed during my time as a student mentor at a further education college, which is why I now focus my work on helping men get clarity on their purpose and direction.
Alongside coaching, my umbrella company Develop Together builds resources to help people improve themselves, some of them completely free.
The mantra it all runs on
“Own The Day” — do at least one small thing every day towards one of your goals. It turns out that’s the actual science behind motivation.
My mission
Enable men to take meaningful action towards advancing their lives in their chosen direction.
Integrity
Say what’s true, even when it’s the harder thing to say in a session.
Personal responsibility
The work is yours. My job is to ask the questions that make the next step obvious.
Authenticity
No performance, no guru act — just an honest conversation between two people.
